About the collection

The book collection includes works with a focus on culture, history, literature, (professional) photo books and children's books. In our collection we have books in the language of one of the African countries, in Dutch and English.

Activities

The cultural public programs and activities deal with topics related to the cultures and communities of the African continent. In order to make African culture and literature accessible to a wide and diverse audience, the Afro-Bieb aims to translate at least one African literature book into Dutch every year. The Afro-Bieb also offers language lessons in most of the spoken languages ​​of African countries, including Oromo, Amharic, Zwahili, Youruba and Zulu.
