201218 cursusjaar Instituto Cervantes

Instituto Cervantes of the Netherlands, which is part of a network of more than 80 official centres dedicated to the teaching and promotion of the Spanish language and culture throughout the world, presents its new offer of winter courses, always adapted to health recommendations issued by the Governments of the Netherlands and Spain regarding COVID-19.

The new term, which begins in January, consists of two types of group courses. The first one, taught 100% online, is extremely attractive because it doesn't matter where the student is: even if they don't have a classroom nearby, they can always learn the language at the official Spanish government institute, using high-quality teaching materials and native teachers with great experience.

The traditional face-to-face live courses will also be offered, taught both in Amsterdam (OBA) and, of course, in Utrecht, the original headquarters of the Institute in the Netherlands. In addition, the Instituto Cervantes offers private classes that can be taught anywhere in the country. It also organizes Spanish courses for groups, companies, etc., at the request of the institutions.

All our students have free access to the library of the Instituto Cervantes (Utrecht and Amsterdam/OBA) which, with 22,000 works, offers a wide collection of literature, films, music, magazines and newspapers in Spanish, and translations into Dutch of some of the most important books of Hispanic literature.

Pilar Tena, Director of the Instituto Cervantes in the Netherlands, encourages potential students to take advantage of this exceptional opportunity: “This new program offers unprecedented opportunities for our Dutch and international students. Spanish is a language of the future and more and more people around the world are learning Spanish. It is an added value in your CV".

The Instituto Cervantes organizes the official certification exams of the level of knowledge of the Spanish language, the DELE exam, worldwide, being the most prestigious certification available nowadays. These exams can be taken throughout the year: registration is now open for 2021 (exams in April, May, July, October and November). An alternative is the SIELE exam, which is a bit more flexible and is done entirely online.
